Have you heard about Red Fridays?  It is the simple act of wearing red every Friday to show support and say "Thank You" to the men and women who bravely serve in our Canadian Forces.

Everyone has been touched by a soldier - whether it's your grandfather who served in WWII or a family member or friend who currently serves with our military at home or away.

In memory of Cpl Patrick Painter, Pte David Greenslade and in recognition of ALL our Canadian soldiers courageous service to our country, Marshall, 13, is running the equivalent of a marathon (42.2km) from May 28th to June 8th during his school lunch break. His goal is to raise $10,000 for donation to the Pte David Greenslade Memorial Bursary and the Oromocto Military Family Resource Center for youth programs in memory of Cpl Patrick Painter.

On June 8th, Marshall, accompanied by members of the military, will run the last leg of his marathon with the finish line being at the Gondola Point Recreation Center track. We invite you come out and cheer on this amazing young man and show your support for our troops.

If you would like to help Marshall reach his goal, you can send a donation made payable to the Red Fridays Remembrance Run to the address below or for your convenience, donations can be directly deposited at any Bayview Credit Union to account #46309.

Marshall appreciates your support for our Canadian troops and thanks you for your donation.
